About the Vacancy

Viola is currently hiring for a talented Arabic speaking PR Senior Account Manager / PR Account Director to be seconded to and work on the premises of a top government client, based in Abu Dhabi.

The role is responsible for reviewing the Public Relations strategy of the client, and will be involved in:

• Organizing media relations activities and interview, ensuring campaigns are delivered, and service level agreements are met.
• Writing English press releases and feature articles for print and broadcast media, interview Q&A’s, quotes, speeches, and articles for internal publications and oversee the Arabic content developed by the PR Content Writer.
• Profile building of the leadership and will also liaise with client entities’ PR team to review the content of joint press releases/ articles in case of common projects featuring client.

Responsibilities

• Maintain close relations with national and regional media
• Content creation (Arabic-English) for client's PR operations, projects and initiative announcements, including press releases, interviews, Op-Eds, FAQs and spokesperson quotes
• Develop a communication strategy for all campaigns and prepare an annual communication plan with a holistic approach that involves all affiliated entities
• Develop annual CSR communication plan
• Prepare an annual calendar and plan for all public relations and marketing activities, including affiliate operations, and update this file on a monthly basis
• Manage all public media events and operations, including conferences, the launch of new initiatives, new programmes or the opening of new destinations or projects across Abu Dhabi
• Proofreading of PR/SM content of affiliated entities in Arabic and English
• Weekly PR report including media and operations
• Monthly report and events report
• Daily/weekly meeting with client and other affiliates
• Create content and structure for client and affiliated entities' annual report and work closely with Viola's design team to develop the final report
• Create scripts for all visuals and videos related to client's public relations and marketing operations
• Provide media training and support to the entire client's communications team regarding the department's PR operations and media approach

Required Skills

• At least 8 years of experience in the communications / advertising industry
• Must be an Arabic speaker
• A qualification in media studies / mass communications will be an advantage
• Prior experience in managing teams in an Agency setting
• Experience with clients in the government sector will be an advantage
• Based in / flexible to relocate to Abu Dhabi, due to the dynamics of the role
