Viola Communications, based in Abu Dhabi is the largest integrated communications agency in UAE and is about to ride a resurgent wave in the post pandemic phase.
We have this brand-new role of an Arabic speaking Account Director - Integrated communications to be based in Abu Dhabi.
It is a permanent, full time role which will require the candidate to be based in / flexible to relocate to Abu Dhabi, due to the specific and dynamic needs of the role.
The role will be a senior addition to our integrated communications structure which is expanding due to the various large-scale integrated communication clients.

Responsibilities

Contribute actively to the formulation and articulation of MarCom strategy for assigned accounts

Prepare a Communication Plan for the brands based on client and partner agencies input. Update Plan on quarterly basis

Act as brand custodian for account brands and take ownership for the growth and positioning of the brands

Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell other services or enhance current scope and keep CSD updated on any leads for joint accounts

Ensure compliance with the processes through ongoing monitoring and review in account teams

Identify intelligent proactive initiatives that can add value to client brands; lead brainstorming session involving account teams and CS Director to finalize the proactive initiative to be presented to clients for approval and buy in

Lead briefing to execution for critical campaigns

Collaborate with the stakeholders to ensure a thorough brief is in place and getting the necessary approvals, if needed

Participating in briefing sessions for the Creative team ensuring a uniform team understanding

Ensure all client deliverables are according to brief, guidelines and budget and within set deadlines

Lead brainstorming on Activation ideas with account teams, presentation to clients and oversee execution

Deal with any job coordination issues at an interdepartmental level and with clients as needed

Prepare a Job Costing for all projects to estimate costs involved in terms of man-hours and overheads

Monitoring team members performance, ensuring all projects deliverables are streamlined with the objectives set

Calculate and analyze variances in terms of time and costs based on time sheet analysis and overheads

Report job profitability and variances to CS Director / Group Account Director as required. Discuss corrective actions required

Work closely with Finance to resolve invoicing and collections and other financial management issues related to the accounts
Required Skills
- At least 8 years of experience in the communications / advertising industry
- Must be an Arabic speaker
- A qualification in media studies / mass communications will be an advantage
- Prior experience in managing teams in an Agency setting
- Experience with clients in the government sector will be an advantage
- Based in / flexible to relocate to Abu Dhabi, due to the dynamics of the role
